Dear Gregs Post Customers,

Please take some time to read important information about changes that will affect signpost installation!

Effective Wednesday, March 15 2017 Gregs Post will no longer offer next day sign post installation services.

Per WA Dig Law: RCW 19.122 All sign installation companies must first alert the underground utility locate services known as Washington 811 for every installation order in order to prevent any utility damages. Failed to do so will result in up to $5000 penalty.

Please note that the location where sign need to be placed must be marked with a white flag or spray-paint prior 811 call.

It is Gregs Post responsibility to call 811 and place an order to locate utility lines, and then it'll take up to 2 business days for facility operator to respond and mark locatable facilities prior signpost installation.

We will only be able to do a sign installation after all utility lines would be marked, which is not earlier then three days after you place an order.

Here is what you can do to speed up the process:

1. It is required to mark the sign location with a white flag or white spray paint prior 811 call. Real estate broker or the homeowner can mark the location with a white flag (Gregs Post provides white flags at no charge), or mark an “x” on a ground with a white spray paint. If you are unable to mark the location, Gregs Post is offering a service to mark the location for you for a $15 trip fee in our standard coverage area.

2. Place an order with Gregs Post after location has been marked, just like you usually do.

3. We will call 811 the same day when we receive your order before 5 pm. and schedule an installation on a third day after the order was placed (subject to change).

Please note that 811 will not be able to provide locate services if the property is not marked.
